Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19/10/2026
This Cookie Policy explains how MotorDox uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit our website.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites that you visit. Similar technologies include web storage (such as browser localStorage or sessionStorage), which allow websites to store information locally on your browser. These technologies help websites function properly, remember user preferences, and maintain security.
2. How We Use These Technologies on MotorDox
MotorDox uses minimal, essential technologies required for site operation:
- Essential Local Storage: Used to remember your dark mode / light mode theme preference selected via the top navigation toggle.
- Essential Security & Session Cookies: Generated automatically by our infrastructure providers (Vercel and Supabase) to manage server sessions, prevent automated spam, and protect platform API routes.
We do not currently use non-essential advertising tracking cookies or third-party behavioral profiling trackers.
3. Analytics and Affiliate Links
If analytics tools or affiliate referral links are introduced in the future to support website operations, this policy will be updated, and explicit cookie consent choices will be provided prior to activation where required by law.
4. Managing Your Preferences
Because we currently use only strictly necessary technologies essential for core website functionality (such as site navigation and visual theme preferences), an opt-out banner is not required for basic operation. You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your web browser settings, though doing so may cause theme choices to reset upon reloading.
5. Contact Us
If you have any questions about our use of cookies or storage technologies, please contact us via our website Contact Form.
